Document Destruction
Why should you shred documents on a regular basis?
In many cases its the law. In addition, besides your customers, information is the second most valuable asset for any business. Why? Because information is what drives the business forward. From confidential client files, to proprietary technology and systems information, and even as far as payroll data. The safe management, archiving and most importantly, destruction, of confidential information is of paramount importance, in a successful enterprise.
Sequoia offers regularly scheduled shredding of corporate documents, based on client requirements. We offer standard pickup service on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly shredding. Our service includes a FREE Secured Document Console, that enables clients to securely store documents in between pickups.
Secure Data Destruction
Dispose of your media with care
Simply tossing out old media in a dumpster puts you at risk of someone uncovering and exposing your company's sensitive data. If you collect and store any personal details of staff or clients, then by law you are required to destroy that data securely. Using the erase function on your backup software does not necessarily ensure the data on the tape is unrecoverable.
Protect your company from embarrassing data exposure or damaging litigation, and use Sequoia to securely destroy your unwanted media items.
Why should you destroy?
Today's high-capacity tape has very high coercivity specifications. The higher the coercivity the harder it is to degauss the tape. Therefore in-house degaussers may be inadequate to erase data. It takes fairly large, high-powered degaussers to eradicate data from an LTO tape or Super DLT tape cartridge, for example.
For this reason, we recommend destroying media at a trusted secure vendor to ensure your data is destroyed completely and doesn't fall into unknown hands.
